As a former Art and Design teacher, I've been trying to pop the educational bubble for years as I saw the need to bridge the gap between the classroom and the big wide world.
So, I created a careers podcast about opening up the imagination when it comes to life after school!
It's called Astronaut to Zookeeper and the premise is that myself - teacher formally know as Miss Willis, catches up with former students to see what career paths they have taken and what advice they would give their 14 year old self! The idea is to cover the full A to Z of careers out there (or a decent chunk of it!).
I'm now on Series 2 and it's been a blast catching up with my wonderful ex students!
My hope is that it will be a really useful resource for young people navigating through options, exams, courses, jobs and careers (or indeed for anyone looking at their futures).
